Timok Youth Center, in cooperation with B92 Fund and Save the Children Norway, is implementing the project Safety of Children on Internet. Project activities, among others, include interactive discussions and lectures in elementary schools, for children ages 11 to 14 (5th to 8th grade). These activities are conceived as conversations with children on the topics of violence (concept and types), as well as dangers that lurk on the internet (pedophilia, child pornography, cyber bulling, etc.). The main objective of this education is prevention, as well as counseling in the cases of violence and abuses (what to do and who to call). Children can recognize obvious violence, as well as how to determine concealed violence, as well as the violence on the Internet.

The initial lectures were held in Zajecar in Ljuba Nešić elementary school, and guest speaker was Biljana Grujić from the organization Center for Prevention of Deviant Behavior from Novi Sad. Other lectures will be carried out in the towns of Bor, Kladovo, Negotin, Boljevac, Majdanpek and Sokobanja
